Privacy Policy

Effective 30 September 2026. Last updated 12 October 2026. This policy explains how Perriton Learning handles information in connection with its informational website, direct business communications, and remotely delivered educational services.

Effective: 30 September 2026

Last updated: 12 October 2026

1. Scope and responsibility

Perriton Learning provides online educational and professional learning services for individuals and small businesses. This policy covers information we receive through direct communications and agreed learning engagements, together with information associated with our Shopify-hosted storefront. It distinguishes those activities from the custom enquiry form, which operates locally in your browser.

The contact details at the end of this page identify how to reach us about privacy. Other organizations, including Shopify and a learning platform selected for an engagement, may process information under their own policies. Their responsibilities depend on the particular service and the way it is used.

2. The website enquiry form

The custom enquiry form checks whether required fields are completed and whether an email address has a valid format. Its entered values are processed on your device to display an on-screen result. The form itself does not email your message, create a booking, transmit those values to Perriton Learning, or save them in a customer database.

An on-screen reference, if displayed, identifies the local form interaction only. It is not a confirmation that we received your message. To arrange services or obtain a reply, contact us directly using the business details below. Browser autofill and other device features are controlled by your browser rather than by this form.

3. Information you choose to provide directly

If you email, call, or otherwise communicate with us outside the local form, we may receive your name, contact information, requested service, scheduling preferences, and the contents of your communication. Business customers may also provide a business name and details about the learning needs of their team.

For an agreed service, relevant information may include learning objectives, submitted exercises, feedback, attendance, and details needed to organize an online session or deliver materials. Provide only information reasonably needed for the educational task. Do not send passwords, full payment-card details, government identity documents, or unrelated sensitive records.

4. Storefront and device information

Although the custom enquiry form does not send its entries, loading the Shopify-hosted website can involve processing technical information. This may include an IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, approximate location inferred from an IP address, and information collected through cookies or comparable technologies.

Shopify provides hosting and storefront functionality. The information it processes can depend on enabled platform features, privacy settings, consent choices, and any applications installed by the store owner. Our Cookie Policy explains this distinction. The website does not offer payment collection through the custom service enquiry interface.

5. Purposes for using information

We use information received directly to answer questions, discuss the suitability of a service, organize an agreed engagement, provide learning sessions and materials, review progress, and address customer concerns. Relevant records may also support invoicing, accounting, security, and the handling of contractual or legal obligations.

An enquiry does not itself subscribe you to promotional messages. If we offer optional marketing communications, those communications should identify their purpose and a way to stop receiving them. We do not use the locally entered form values to build a mailing list because that form does not transmit them.

6. Educational platforms and service providers

An engagement may require an email service, video-conferencing tool, file-delivery system, or another online learning platform. We will identify the relevant delivery arrangement when confirming the service. Such providers may receive information necessary to support communication, access, hosting, security, or delivery.

We aim to limit information shared for a task to what that task requires. A provider may also process device information or account details under its own terms. You should review the applicable platform notice before creating an account or using optional features such as automated transcripts, cloud recordings, or personal profiles.

7. Sharing, legal requests, and business changes

We may disclose relevant information to providers supporting an agreed service, professional advisers where necessary, or authorities when disclosure is legally required. We may also use or disclose information as reasonably needed to investigate misuse, protect people and systems, or resolve an actual dispute.

If a business restructuring or transfer affects relevant records, information may be handled as part of that transaction subject to applicable obligations. This policy does not make a blanket claim about Shopify processing, advertising settings, or legal definitions of sale and sharing. Those matters depend on the live storefront configuration.

8. Retention and information security

We seek to keep personal information only for as long as reasonably needed for its purpose, including service administration, accounting requirements, and the resolution of disputes. Different records may have different retention needs. If you request deletion, a limited record may need to remain where a legal obligation or legitimate unresolved matter requires it.

We use safeguards appropriate to the information and the service, while recognizing that no internet transmission or storage method is completely secure. Please use care when emailing attachments or sharing screens. Notify us if you believe information has been sent to the wrong recipient or used without authorization.

9. Your choices and privacy requests

You may contact us to ask what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion. Depending on your location and the applicable law, you may have additional rights involving access, portability, restrictions, objections, or an appeal. A right may be subject to lawful conditions and exceptions.

We may ask for enough information to verify your identity and locate the relevant records, without requesting unnecessary sensitive documents. Requests concerning information processed independently by a platform may need to be directed to that platform. We will explain that distinction where it is relevant to your request.

10. Children and confidential learning content

The website is intended for adults arranging their own learning or services for a business. It is not designed to invite children under thirteen to submit personal information. A parent or guardian seeking a service for a minor should contact us before sharing the child's information so that suitability and applicable safeguards can be discussed.

Please avoid providing identifiable information about coworkers, students, or clients unless you are entitled to share it and it is needed for the agreed task. Anonymized examples can often support learning without exposing another person's private information. Session recording is not included by default.

11. International access and policy changes

Our services are delivered remotely. Information received through an online provider may be handled in locations where that provider or its infrastructure operates. The applicable safeguards and your rights depend on the relevant law, provider, and engagement; this policy does not promise that every record remains in a particular country.

We may update this policy when website functionality, service delivery, or applicable requirements change. The updated date identifies the current version. Material changes to the handling of an existing engagement will be communicated where required. Privacy questions can be directed to learning@perritonlearning.com.
